Hi Sharon,
You introduced me to ragdolls 6 years ago and warned me they were like potato chips in that
you could not have just one. I bought my second ragdoll in Oct 2006 from Nancy Whitehurst here in the Houston area. Words
cannot express the joy that these 2 wonderful "little people brought to me.
My husband was converted to a cat person and he never really liked cats. When we lost our
17 year old poodle in 2006, he wanted to get a 2nd ragdoll even though he has allergies he would not trade a minute of time
with these 2 babies.
We purchased KiKi from you (& Peggy) in 2002. Salvadore Dahli was her father and Peggy's
female, Laurel, is her mom. She is now 6 and weighs a little over 12 lbs. I don't want her to get any heavier. I love her
so much!!
We purched Rocco from Nancy Whitehurst in June 2006. Rocco's father is the famous Colbey
from your cattery (which is what I wanted when I got KiKi) and Lyla from Nancy's cattery. I believe Lyla was the first
generation from Australia. Rocco, is just unexplainable. He has so much personality. He loves to carry my shoes and brings
me things all the time up the stairs mind you. His favorite game is to play fetch.
These 2 babies are so personable that you want to squeeze them to death. They don't let me
out of their sight. They sleep with us, travel with us and both serve as my "assistants" when I work. They love to lay on
my desk and "help. We recently had to evacuate for Hurricane Ike and both Rocco and KiKi thought they were on vacation.
We stayed at a friend's home in Tulsa who has a cat and even though their cat was shy and hid most of the time, my Rocco and
KiKi enjoyed her toys, scratching post etc. They truly thought they were on a vacation. Nothing seems to bother them. We have
traveled to Kentucky to visit family and they were real troopers and well behaved. They are so smart and know they are a guest
in someone's home. They are always welcomed everywhere we go. I would not dream of going anywhere without them.
I wanted to thank you for your dedication to the breeding of these wonderful, wonderful animals
and bringing them to the forefront of cat lovers everywhere. I honestly did not believe everything I read about these cats
when I was researching them because I thought it was too good to be true. In actually, not enough was said about their
loving and affectionate ways. We never had children so these 2 are our children. I think my husband is attached as I am.
Thank you and Nancy Whitehurst for these bundles of joys.
The Christmas card photo was taken at my house. People ask me how I got them to wear the
costume and be still and I replied - They're Ragdolls. They also love to ride in their stroller, Kiki rides inside and Rocco
on top but this is only in the house. I zip them up and take outside 1 at a time. They enjoy traveling.
Thank you again so much,
Carol E

Hi Nancy: I thought you might want to see better pictures of the babies taken in November.
Two weeks ago Keegan weighed 10 lbs 6 oz and Keeley weighed 9 11 oz.
Keegan's favorite past time is the jump up on the banister and slide down, flying off of the end. Keeley's favorite
past time is to drown her toys in her water dish and shred toilet paper.
She manages to steal the toilet paper from the shelf and put it in her water dish. I forgot to take a picture
of that. They are quite the little monsters, but we love them a lot.
They are very entertaining. Keegan acts like a little kitten in a giant body. He is very clumsy. She
on the other hand is very graceful.
You were right about them being people kitties. They also like to steal
things. Sometimes very big things. They have been known to carry away my cell phone, ipod, and even dirty laundry. Sometimes I think they are part canine, part feline and part
raccoon.
Happy holidays

Hi Nancy Just thought I'd let you know that the kittens are fabulous!! They have settled in wonderfully
and have pretty much taken over our bed, lol. The girl is a real sweetheart but very shy and laid back while the
boy is just the opposite - we have taken to calling him the demon cat because he is always causing and getting into trouble.
However, he is just soooo cute, it is all ok :) Thanks for raising such a wonderful pair! All of us just
adore them! Ronda

Subject: Quincy Update
Date: Mon, 11 Jun 2007 21:52:59 -0500
Hello!
Quincy is just amazing. No...really! He loves everyone, and fits in everywhere. We have taken him to the lake for two
long weekend this summer, and he does great in the car, hangs out with all the adults & kids (and there have been masses
of kids each weekend...10 to 7 each time), is so easy going to change and he loves to just be with us.
Everyone is so amazed by him. Even true dog-people say if they could have Quincy. He is a doll, a treat, a gift.
Question...one he almost weighed 6 lbs. 1 oz. at 4 months (on 5/30). Our vet was shocked (though he has no other pure
bred Ragdolls in his practice other than Quincy and I assure him they are large cats full grown), but he assured me after
examination that he was NOT overweight. He just
kept saying, "you have an amazing cat...he is just so docile and so beautiful. I just can not get over the fact
he gained over 2 pounds in a month, but he looks great and is just great!" Any thoughts on that weight at his age of
4+ months? Is that OK?
Just wanted to let you know how much we love him. Really - he is just plain amazing. When you have another litter, let
me know...many of my friends are smitten and are considering the breed as a great option for their homes.
Thanks and take care!
Ashley

Hi Nancy
Just wanted to give you an update of our first 48 Hours with Sebastian. He is wonderful and a talker like you said!
We heard a story, in the car, after we left your house, then he decided to take a nap. When we got to the airport, he was
very curious and when my plane was taking off, he had an opinion about the noise but once we were cruising he just slept.
I think the trip wore him out because he slept the whole drive home too.
Once we got home he was greeted by my children and they played with him all evening. We also had friends over that night
and he made sure to meet everybody. I love having such a social kitty. We opened presents with our friends that night and
he dove through boxes and wrapping paper just like a cat should.
He has gone exploring through our entire house and made me a little nervous, when he walked along the ledge of the stairwell,
were there was a drop from the top floor to the bottom floor. We have since put up a barrier on that spot.
He didn't quite like being put in the laundry room that night but when I went to check in him the next morning, he was
quite comfortable on top of the clothes in the laundry basket.
He slept most of yesterday and played with us in between naps. He also was the first one to greet my parents when they
came over last night.
We really are having fun with him. Thank for doing such a good job raising him.
I'll be in touch in the future.

Jennifer now has three of our Ragdolls. She sent this email when she had just the two. Chloe was a small blue mitted female
that thought she was the boss of the whole house. Chance was a big, gorgeous seal mitted male that shied away from everybody.
He was content to watch from a distance and come up to you when everybody else was away and things where quiet in the house.
Seems that Chloe never changed but boy Chance did. Here is what she had to say about them--- Please read their story below.
Date: Thu, 6 Jul 2006 09:05:12 -0500
Hi Nancy,
Chloe and Chance are doing great! They are both wonderful cats and both my babies. Surprisingly Chance is a BIG momma's
boy and turned out to be the most loving cat. I think that he is under the impression that we must be touching at all times
when I am home. He has gotten really big and has a really funny personality. He refuses to drink out of a water bowl so instead
has learned to jump on the counter in the bathroom and maneuver the knob to turn it on. I kept jumping on my husband for leaving
the water running until I saw Chance do it. I could not believe my eyes. I guess he watched us so many times turn on the water
for him he figured it out. I just wish he would learn how to turn it off.
Chloe is also very loving but more independent than Chance.
She likes to be loved on when she wants feels like it. She also has a more of an assertive personality and I think the
best word to describe her is a "brat". She knows it too! She will cry to me if the dogs are playing with one of
her toys and when I get it back for her she just sits there beside it guarding it. She has that look on her face as to say
"ha, ha!" She has to have a piece of turkey in the mornings and it can not be the cheap kind it has to be the turkey
form the deli. The sad thing is my cats eat more expensive turkey breast than we do. That is ok because they both do not care
for regular cat treats so this is their treat for the day.
As you can probably tell that I am more that happy with my babies and I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity
to have Chance in my home even though he was a little different at the time. He was just one of those special flowers that
needed some different soil to bloom, and he did bloom to a wonderful cat.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Ms. C,
Hello! My name is Crystal W and I am a potential buyer for one of Nancy Whitehurst's soon-to-be-born Ragdoll kittens.
She gave me your name and e-mail address as a reference. I have just a few questions that I hope you don't mind answering
about your buying experience and overall opinion of your new bundle of joy. Purchasing a Ragdoll cat is a very important decision,
so I am sure you can understand why I am covering all of my bases.
Here are my questions:
1) How was your overall buying experience from Nancy? Did you have any difficulties or problems in aquiring Max?
2) How would you rate Max's overall disposition and health?
3) Have there been any complications with Max's transition from Nancy's home to your home?
4) Would you recommend Nancy as a Ragdoll breeder? Would you buy another Ragdoll cat from Nancy?
Thank you so much for your time and have a blessed Christmas!
Kind regards,
Crystal W
Ms. W
I would be happy to respond to your questions concerning Nancy's cats.
Max is the first cat I have ever purchased from a breeder. I have had MANY cats over the years, but they were strays
or unwanted and never kittens. I can't believe the difference. My new kitten, Max, is so well socialized and friendly I may
never go back to the stray cats again.
I picked Nancy to purchase from because I found her to be very accessible as far as questions and concerns. I knew
what kind of markings and type I wanted, but I wasn't sure if I wanted a male or female. She was extremely patient with me.
My husband and I went to see the kittens before we
decided. That trip sealed the deal for me. Nancy's home is warm and welcoming, and extremely clean for one who breeds
cats. Her cats and kittens are raised this way. They seem to be part of her family. You almost feel guilty taking them away.
But I got over that. Nancy is very accommodating, but she is also very strict about when you can see the kittens. She protects
their health like they were her babies. All this basically results in one healthy, happy, kitten. I think this results in
a cat with extra purrs, too. Max has adjusted to our home of 3 kids, 3 cats
and 2 dogs faster and better than I could have hoped. We kept him separated for about a week, then he just jumped in with
all four paws and we have enjoyed every minute. My last words to Nancy when we were leaving with Max were that this may be
my first Rag doll kitten from her, but it surely would not be my last. If you have any other concerns, my suggestion would
be to arrange a time to go visit before you decide. But let me warn you: You could end up wanting more than one after your
visit. Good luck to you and Merry Christmas.
Martha C
